Scone Palace Fifth Garden Fair 2026
There’s a certain kind of excitement that comes with this time of year, and it’s something we’ve really come to appreciate at The Hideaway. It’s not rushed or overwhelming, but more of a steady build — a feeling that something special is taking shape.
We’ve started preparing for Scone Palace Garden Fair — now in its fifth year — and this year feels different in the best way. There’s a sense of returning, but with more clarity about what we want to create and how we want it to feel.
For us, it always begins with the atmosphere. We don’t start with a fixed plan or a rigid layout, but with a feeling we want people to experience when they step into the space. Over the past few days, we’ve been working on shaping that — arranging pieces, stepping back, adjusting, and gradually building something that feels balanced and considered without ever feeling overdone.
We’ve been thinking a lot about how people move through a space. Where they pause, what draws them in, and how everything sits together. It’s those quieter details that matter most to us — the way textures soften a corner, how a piece of furniture anchors a space, or how something unexpected can catch your eye and make you look twice.
This year, we’re going a little further with it all. Not just in what we’re bringing, but in how we’re bringing it together. There’s more confidence in our choices, and a clearer understanding of what works and what feels right for The Hideaway. It’s not about doing more for the sake of it, but about doing it better — creating something that feels complete and intentional.
Last year was our first time attending Scone Palace Garden Fair, and it stayed with us long after the weekend had finished. What we remember most isn’t just the busyness of the event, but the moments within it — people taking their time, lingering a little longer than expected, and really engaging with the space we’d created.
There were so many conversations that meant a lot to us, especially hearing that the stand felt calm, or that it gave people a moment to slow down. That was never something we could plan for, but it’s exactly what we hope to create. It reminded us that what we’re building at The Hideaway is about more than just the pieces themselves — it’s about how they come together to create a feeling.
Coming back this year, that’s what we’re holding onto. We’re not just setting up a stand, we’re creating a small extension of The Hideaway — a space that feels familiar, welcoming, and quietly inspiring. Somewhere you can wander through, take your time, and perhaps see something in a different way.
We’ve been carefully selecting what to bring, choosing pieces that not only stand on their own but work together as a whole. There’s always a balance between what we love and what we’re ready to part with, and that’s part of the process too.
If last year was about discovering what this event could be for us, this year feels like stepping into it with intention. We know what matters now, and we’re excited to bring that to life.
If you haven’t been yet, consider this your invitation to experience it for yourself. To wander, to discover, and to spend a little time surrounded by thoughtful details and beautiful things.
Come and find us at Scone Palace Garden Fair on Friday 29th & Saturday 30th May 2026 — we’d love to see you there.
