The Hideaway began as a dream between a mother and daughter, a shared love of plants, interiors, quirky vintage finds, and creating beautiful spaces. What we didn’t expect was just how much joy it would bring us — not only in doing what we love every day, but in meeting the most wonderful customers along the way.

We opened the doors to The Hideaway in July 2023, in the beautiful village of Comrie, Perthshire
— and what a journey it’s been so far.

From day one, we’ve been blown away by the support, kind words, and lovely chats with visitors who’ve stumbled across us (sometimes quite literally, tucked away as we are!). It’s become so much more than just a shop — it’s a place where people slow down, take a breath, and leave feeling a little more inspired.

We’re still a small team — now joined by the lovely Holly full-time, along with some fantastic part-time help — but our hearts are all in it. Whether it’s sourcing reclaimed treasures, styling cosy corners, choosing the perfect plants, or simply making someone’s day a little brighter, we love every part of what we do.

The Hideaway is filled with things we genuinely love — plants for your home and garden, upcycled and one-of-a-kind pieces, candles, home accessories, and thoughtful little gifts. We hope it feels warm, welcoming, and full of personality.
